This is the painting I finished last night but couldn’t post because it was too shiny, it’s painted in oil on gessoed canvas. size 11 by 14 inches with a 1/2 inch canvas wrap with sides painted.
Since its the first day of our daily painters project celebrating the beauty of the earth and our need to conserve our natural resources, I decided to go with the theme of water. What’s more appropriate than to paint the sea for the first painting of this project. The majority of the earth’s surface is covered in water and so much life lives in and near the sea that I wanted to paint this calm ocean scene to illustrate the beauty that we are so privileged to enjoy. Let’s try to leave it as beautiful as we find it!
