I drew this gentleman ( pitt pens) while waiting in a surgical waiting room with about 50 other people who were also waiting for loved ones. He was trying to get some sleep and pulled his cap down over his eyes. Later when I got home I decided to color it yellow, it seemed to speak of the moment.

  1. This sketch so captures the mood of a waiting room. It is very expressive in its simplicity and gesture drawing style of execution. Anyone who has ever been in a hospital waiting room knows the feeling this elicits. I am there and I can feel the tedium and the tension both at the same time.
