This little abstract has an Asian feel. It’s shiny because its still wet but by tomorrow it should be almost dry. I painted it on Sat. It was pretty warm here today in South Carolina but at least we didn’t get a hurricane. Whew!
I’m going to be painting a Koi painting tomorrow, check in here to see the process.
“Koi Swirl” ACEO – Collector’s Original 2.5″ by 3.5″
August 20, 2008
ACEO or Artist Collector Original or Edition …This is an original watercolor on gessoed masonite 2.5 by 3.5 $15.00 S& H is only $1.50
This is a bit fuzzy as these small cards are a bit tough to photograph. The rreal card is much better!
This is a sweet way to start your own collection of Koi.
These little paintings look great on an easel or in a frame. I have several in out of the way nooks and in places you wouldn’t think to hang a painting…Its like a little treasure hidden away only to be found by you. They are small but very delightful and fresh! Folks love them as gifts too.
Blue Waters ACEO Mixed media on paper
May 22, 2008I live in a condo so space is limited. Here I have a metal tub I’ve filled with water and have put in several water lilies and some other plants, water hyacinths and a plant that kind of looks like a caterpillar.
I was planning to draw from a live model today but she didn’t show up. That happens every now an then. I was surprised because I’ve used this model many times and she has always been on time and ready to go. No drawing for now, I guess I need to get with it so I’ll have something to post tomorrow…

March 21, 2008
15.00 2.5 by 3.5Its difficult for me to discuss these paintings because they are rather abstract in nature. The concept is simple, its the study of ritual and what role it plays in our lives and in our culture.I love these colors and find more colorful work appearing in my paintings during the spring months.I’ve had a number of folks write to me telling me their ideas of what they see in these paintings. I find it absolutely amazing …. All the stories people have as to what is going on in these paintings is varied and interesting. This is another reason I don’t talk about what I see going on in them. I like the viewer to decide.

For those that so not know… ACEO stands for Artist Collector’s Edition or Original
I closed down my ebay store today, its too difficult to be selling in so many places. You end of spending too much time on the computer. I want to paint not sit around writing copy and uploading photos. I’ll open it during the Winter months when things are slower.

Underwater fun Koi ACEO
December 20, 2007Koi 107 or Koi Evolution
December 18, 20072.5 by 3.5 Artist trading card, watercolor on Ampersand.
I couldn’t decide what to name this little painting, its number 107 in the koi series but the fish on the right looks like he about to step right out of the pond and start walking on land.
Ampersand is a clay like substance which is over Masonite, then I covered it over with some gesso, I like the texture it gives the painting.
Luna Light aceo of ocean waves at night
December 4, 2007This little aceo is $12.00 plus $1.50 shipping and handling. I painted it last night after getting back from the hospital. 2.5 by 3.5 I think it looks like the ocean when the full moon is making the waves glow… I’ve seen this many times and its beautiful.
Art had a chest tube planted into his liver to drain off the fluid which was not dissipating as anticipated. They drained off more than two liters and it will hopefully come out on Friday.
Today we spent the whole day at the Hospital and poor Art (my husband) underwent a procedure to have a filter removed from his aorta artery but it would not come out so they will leave it in there for the rest of his life. He had to endure a procedure really for nothing. Now he has a hole in his neck where they went in for the procedure and its swollen and red. Poor guy, he is rather despondent over the whole day’s events.
