5/11/08 i love your painting, Lake Wylie Blue. My grandfather (my mother's father) was a very outstanding Scottish Presbyterian minister and nis name is/was (he died July 15, 1956) Wylie Blue (actually, he was Alexander Wylie Blue), but he went by just Wylie Blue. There is an interesting book about him written in 1957. Does lake Wylie blue have anything to do with him ? (It is very interesting - hope you get this and that you will reply to me.)

I congratulate you on your realization of the painting a day ideal and find your results very compelling. The sensuous outcomes I see here are inspirational indeed! I'm sure I'll be trying watercolor on gessoed surfaces in direct response to your successes.

Do you paint onto unprimed clay board, or do you acrylic gesso the board?

Also, where can I see more of your work?

I know how you feel with the art. The only thing that keeps me painting is the enjoyment of me looking at the completed work and feeling a sense of improvement inside of me. Your words in this days blog really are meaningful and show your wisdom and experience. I too have been painting for a long time, 25 years now and I can honestly say I get better each time I paint. Thanks again.
