All dogs go to heaven #51 6 by 8 watercolor $40.00

September 5, 2012

The little sparkles in the sky are barely visible, I think the camera flash picked up the reflective value and accentuated the sparkle.

Tribute to Monet 24 by 30 inches Oil painting on canvas

June 8, 2010

Another water painting from my Tribute to Monet series.

This is a large painting I’ve been working on for a couple of weeks. It has a little bit of texture and a wonderful sense of reflection. Walking my dogs in the morning I’ll walk down to the water and come out from under the thousands of trees which have been blocking my view and look up to see something like this. It usually takes my breath away.

$400.00 oil on canvas. The sides have been painted…. so, no need for a frame.

5 inch by 7 inch watercolor on paper $30.00

this is from my “all dogs go to heaven” series…

I can’t help but hear one of the bigs dogs say to the other big dog about the little dog ” Do you think there may have been a mix up at the hospital?”

Cooking and Movies…. Julie, Julia

August 9, 2009

I went to see Julie Julia today and enjoyed it. I laughed frequently and cried more than once. It was a touching story of two women and their relationship with food and the men in their lives. I knew I would like it even before I saw the movie because even though I’m not a foodie, I love to watch people cook. I watch the food channel while cleaning house or doing paper work. I also liked the Sat. night live parody of Julia Child’s cooking show. She was quirky and so “real”.100_1499

Monet series, Fantasy Pond

June 26, 2008

Monet series

Acrylic on wood, 8 by 8″ $50.00  s & h $5.50 ….shantmarie@aol.com for purchase information,   Pay pal, credit cards and checks accepted.

This is another painting from my blue Monet series.  I wanted to add a little lavender color to the blue and see how I liked it.   Lavender somehow makes me think more of a fantasy world.  These paintings are a bit soft and I didn’t allow too many hard lines and I think this makes it a bit more surreal.

I’ve been very busy with my other projects and I have really had to plan and stay up late or wake up early to get these daily painting completed. I will up date you on those project as they are completed.
